The characters.
Harry Mason
The main role in the first Silent Hill game. Harry was on vacation with his young daughter Cheryl, They decided they would vacation in the old resort town of Silent Hill. But on the night of their arrival into town Harry discovered that strange things were happening to the town. Everyone was in town was gone and there were terrible nightmarish monsters everywhere. and above all Cheryl had gone missing.
Cheryl Mason
Cheryl, Harry's 7 year old daughter. Had begged her father to take her to Silent Hill for their vacation. Upon entering the town her and her father Harry get involved in a car accident. When Harry wakes up he see Cheryl running away, as he gives chase little cheryl disappears into the thick fog.
Cybil Bennent
Cybil is a police officer from the town of Brahms, the next town over from Silent Hill. She passed Harry and Cheryl on their way into town and crashed her bike. She ends up finding Harry in the diner after he had lost his daughter. Sadly for Harry she has not seen his daughter and just like him, is trapped in town nor does she have any idea as to what is happening to the town.
Alessa Gillespie
Alessa is the daughter of Dahlia Gillespie. But why does she look so much like Cheryl? Alessa leaves Harry confused and wondering who or what Alessa is. The only real mystery is how or what does Alessa have to do with the terrorizing events happening in the town of Silent Hill.
Dahlia Gillespie
Dahlia Gillespie is a a woman devoted to her religious cult. She plays a major role in bringing about the nightmare that has taken over the town. She is committed to bringing the "god" of her cult to life. By using her own daughter as a medium for the birth of the cult's "god" by inflecting life threatening injuries on Alessa. She ends up deceiving Harry many times while he searches for his daughter.
Michael Kaufmann
Michael Kaufmann is a doctor who works at the Achemilla Hospital in Silent Hill. When he meets Harry he acts as if he is also unknowingly trapped in the town. Dr. Kaufmann does happen to be trapped in Silent Hill just as Harry, but Kaufmann has a close relation as to the cause of the nightmare taking over the town.
Lisa Garland
Lisa is a young nurse who works at the same hospital as Dr. Kaufmann. Lisa was appointed to look after Alissa when she is admitted to the hospital. She was traumatized by what had been done to poor Alissa and also ends up being trapped in the nightmare world of Silent Hill but she try's her best to help Harry and find Cheryl.
